Mission Philosophy
Evangelism is the privilege and the duty of all believers. We are all called to proclaim the Gospel of redemption by faith in Jesus Christ both locally and globally in cooperation with missionary endeavours in total agreement with our statement of faith; to teach the Bible as the infallible Word of God in order to equip and disciple believers for the purposes of: glorifying God, edifying the saints, winning others to Jesus Christ and to minister to the needs of humanity, both physically and spiritually. As such:
- Every human being has the right to hear Christ's Gospel at least once.
- The task of global evangelism has been placed upon the Christian Church to PRAY, GO, and SEND.
- Based on the model of the New Testament, evangelism includes the responsibility to help train leadership within the local culture to carry out Christ's Mandate. Career Missionaries must be seen as people who will train others to do their ministries and turn Christ’s church over to the local people for direction.
- MMI supports a model of missions that encourages local church autonomy, where local culture is preserved and not unnecessarily westernized.
- Ministry should be holistic, serving the needs of the spirit through evangelism and bible training and the needs of the spirit through community outreach and care.
